This past weekend I enjoyed a womens retreat in the Arkansas mountains. Twelve women sharing a cabin, starting and ending the day with Yoga practice and hiking the mountains during daytime. What a refreshing, rejuvenating experience out in the wild! It was so very dark, the stars appeared in larger than usual numbers. Even the Milky Way was visible! I hadn’t seen it in years.
Women usually bring plenty of items for personal care, not this group. We were focused on nature, ‘roughing it’, no make up and (gasp!) not one of us had brought a hairdryer!
We shared lots of laughter, mutual support and cheering for each others accomplishments. Returning refreshed and ready to prepare for the coming Holidays.
